Thank you for visiting My Bungalow Home!
I’m Wade Lincoln and all of the paintings and photography are my original work.
I am a self taught American scene painter and a traditionalist.
I use traditional tools ( brush and palette knife ) on traditional supports ( canvas and board ) to create traditional
and figurative representations of American life, landscape, icons, and architecture.
Many of the paintings are based on photos that I have taken in my favorite places.
These places include the northern and central California coasts, the low country of Georgia, and the old home
land of Vermont.
I’ve always been impressed and influenced by non pretentious American artists, who offered me an honest Realism, like
Edward Hopper, John Steinbeck, and Ansel Adams.
They all used a straight forward language that I could understand.
It all fits well into my Craftsman aesthetic.
Elbert Hubbard, founder of the Roycroft Artisan Community ( and maybe a little pretentious ) said, “Art is not a thing, it is a way !”
This is my way.
I hope you enjoy it.
